For those die hard Jane Fonda fans, that cowgirl is inspired by a poster for her spaghetti Western film, “Cat Ballou.” A self-proclaimed feminist, Fonda is the perfect icon for my blog.
I chose the cowgirl because it’s also an icon in Las Vegas. On Fremont Street there is a cowboy and cowgirl bigger-than-life-size neon sign that many associate Las Vegas with. I wanted to turn the cowgirl’s cleavage thrusting pose upside down (literally and figuratively) with one a little more aggressive, hilarious, and just bloody cool.
You may be wondering how I achieved the cool neon design? Simple Photoshop magic. Check out Melissa Clifton’s tutorial site and create your very own vector or line art!
Aisha, I’d like to get in touch with you to see if you’d be interested in something I have in mind. I cover Women’s Issues for About.com, and I appreciate your recent link to my article on teenage pregnancy and the top ten states with highest stats. Let’s talk.
