Born in the jungles of Luzon, raised in the neon flashing lights of Las Vegas, I have traversed the world to find truth, justice, and the cosmopolitan way.
In my travels, I found that generally it is not good to generalize. So I try to find the nuances in the stories I read and write; the exceptions to every rule. My writing experience mostly consists of essays for courses, one chef d’oeuvre on Filipino music, and currently as a staff writer for the Rebel Yell. Neon Feminism is about the struggles and successes of women and women’s rights here in the Vegas Valley. It may seem like a dichotomy, but there are feminists here in this tawdry bikini clad town. You just have to look beyond the billboards. Whatever the story may be - strippers unionizing, women protesting labor laws, women in traditionally male dominated fields - if it concerns women, I’m on it.
